Treats

Kids love snacks, so it’s always a good idea to bring along some treats for them. A few healthy options are great for keeping their energy levels up during the shoot, but don't forget about those special treats like lollipops or candy as well! These goodies can be used as rewards if they need an extra push of motivation.

Toys

Bringing along favorite toys never hurts! Not only do these help keep little ones occupied while they wait on set, but they can also serve as props in some of your photos. After all, nothing says childhood quite like playing with toys! However, be sure not to bring too many—you don’t want to overwhelm or distract the kids from what we’re there to do (take beautiful photos!).

Comfort Items

Although this one is optional, it doesn't hurt to have comfort items such as blankets or stuffed animals handy. They're perfect for soothing anxious kiddos and making them feel more comfortable in a new environment. Plus, these make great props too!

Smiles & Fun!

Last but certainly not least, make sure you come prepared with lots of smiles and fun ideas for activities that kids can participate in during the photoshoot. When kids are having fun, it shows in the pictures, and it will create lifelong memories that you can look back on fondly.

With this essential list of things to bring along for a kid's session in hand, you're ready for anything! Remember—just relax, have fun, and let your photographer do their thing. You're going to get some amazing shots! So grab your snacks, toys, comfort items, and smiles —let's make some memories!
